Peacefully resolving the overriding political, economic and social concerns of our time requires a multifaceted approach, including mechanisms to address the links between the natural environment and human security. Today's priorities and future challenges

The ENVSEC Initiative builds on the combined strengths and field presence of the lead organizations to perform three key functions: assessment of environment and security risks, capacity building and institutional development to strengthen environmental cooperation as well as integration of environmental and security concerns and priorities in international and national policy-making.
